About
Madeline Lavosky is an artist, textile designer, garment maker and production assistant. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a BFA in Fiber and a concentration in Experimental Fashion. She is originally from Montclair, New Jersey and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She creates textiles through various processes, including digital printing, weaving, silkscreening, and direct application. Much of her work stems from unpacking and navigating her family history to understand her cultural identity. She creates digital prints by using old photographs, drawings and paintings because breaking this imagery down allows her to make sense of it all. Her art making making practice has continued in the form of a small collaborative clothing brand, Pool Noodle.
